I am a photojournalist based in Central Nebraska working as a staff photographer at The Grand Island Independent since September 2015. Prior to this I’ve worked with publications and wire services in Missouri, Colorado, Wyoming, Oklahoma and Oregon. In November 2017 I reached a 20-year milestone as a professional photographer.

At 17 I became an assistant to a Denver Post staff photographer, later studying commercial photography at the Art Institute of Colorado. My first stint as a photojournalist was freelancing for United Press International in Denver, Colo.

I’ve won 54 awards for my images in either state, regional or national competitions.
